Heading out to Clearwater Beach? Then consider parking at the North Beach Parking Plaza, a new parking garage that opened on North Clearwater Beach last year. The garage is located at 483 Mandalay Ave. and offers 450 new parking spaces. Parking rates are $2 per hour. Public parking is located on levels 3 to 6. The garage is situated a few blocks south of the Clearwater Ferry docks; multiple Jolley Trolley stops are nearby. Beachgoers have quick access to the beach via east-west Baymont Street, and the garage operates as pay-as-you-leave facility, so you can stay as long as you would like. Overnight parking is available, too.
During spring break, city officials encourage visitors to park in downtown Clearwater and take the Clearwater Ferry or Jolley Trolley to Clearwater Beach. Visitors can also bike or walk across Memorial Causeway to get to the beach. See related story here.
The free seasonal park and ride program, Trolley Park N Ride, operates every 15 minutes from mid-February to late April from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and Friday and Saturday until 12:00 midnight. Downtown departures leave from City Hall, 112 S. Osceola Ave. or from the Harborview Center, lower level, 300 Cleveland St. Both sites offer ample parking. Return service to the mainland departs from Clearwater Beach Marina, 25 Causeway Blvd. on the south side of Memorial Cswy., near the roundabout.
As part of the Trolley Park N Ride spring break program, all trolley riders receive a free day pass good for that day on any Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) bus or trolley system.
