Beginning on October 5th, Frontier Airlines will begin serving the Tampa Bay area with new flights into Tampa International Airport (TIA).
Kicking off the new routes will be travelers flying from Islip, N.Y. and Minneapolis, Minn., with daily service. Colorado Springs, Co. and St. Louis, Mo. passengers will begin arriving on October 6th with service four days a week. Scheduled service starts on October 10th for Providence, R.I. departures. On November 10th, daily flights out of Milwaukee, Wis. begin as well as three-day a week departures from Indianapolis, Ind. Three additional cities follow: Kansas City with four-day a week flights starting on December 15th and Columbus, Ohio and Nashville, Tenn. on December 17th each with three time weekly service.

The airlines is the recipient of the Federal Aviation Administration’s 2016 Diamond Award for maintenance excellence and was recently named the industry’s most fuel-efficient airline by The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) as a result of superior technology and operational efficiencies.
The 2017 North America Airport Satisfaction Study released in August ranked Tampa International Airport second among large airports. The study measures overall traveler satisfaction with mega, large, and medium North American airports by examining six factors (in order of importance): terminal facilities; airport accessibility; security check; baggage claim; check-in/baggage check; food, beverage and retail.
Other airlines serving TIA are Southwest/Air Tran, Delta Air Lines, American, JetBlue, Spirit and United.
